RUNAWAY
POINT, MONTSERRAT ($ 495,000 USD)
Life
here often looks like this from our deck in the early evening
|
|
Our
home in the little known Caribbean island of Montserrat was designed
and built to enjoy the very best of what the island has to offer
-- easy living with quiet, privacy, safety and comfort.
Backing
into National Parkland, our property makes us feel like we are
alone on this beautiful island though our home is tucked neatly
into a friendly neighborhood.
What
has been our island getaway is a small home, the cottage we have
created from a standard well built ranch house. There are no stairs
to make life difficult and the house is easy to maintain.
The
house has about 1800 square feet of interior space, an open area
living room and kitchen, a dining room and wet bar pantry, a bedroom,
a large den, two interior bathrooms and an exterior half bath
by the pool. There is a large deck for outside living as you can
see in the photographs. The pool is fifteen by thirty feet, with
its own private walled and gated lounging area. Our large garage
comfortably fits our car and lots more. The property is two thirds
of an acre, zoned and large enough for a second home, tennis court
and guest quarters.
